• Notes: We'll go over the structure and purpose of a body paragraph (of which your final essay should have three) in a literary analysis essay. 
• Then, you'll have WORK TIME to craft and show me an introduction paragraph. If you're awesome, you'll start a body paragraph, too. 
• Finally, we'll begin viewing a Friday movie that presents elements of psychoanalytic theory. 

Thursday, December 7th

• Notes: We'll discuss the structure and function of Body Paragraphs in literary analysis essays.
• Reading and Notes: We'll finish reading and discussing the final chapter of Lord of the Flies. 
• You'll take the Ch. 12 Reading Quiz.
• Finally, you'll have WORK TIME for the following:
• Vocabulary Page: Ch. 12 (Due Today)
• One-on-One Check-Ins on Missing Work and Corrections (Remember that Monday, 12/11 is the last day to turn any of these in.)
• Final Essay (Due by 12/15)

Wednesday, December 6th

• We'll begin reading and discussing Ch. 12 of Lord of the Flies. 
• Notes: We'll go over the structure and purpose of an introductory paragraph in a literary analysis essay. 
• Finally, you'll have WORK TIME for the following:
• Grammar and Mechanics Sheet (due today)
• Topic Selection and Thesis (due today)
• Vocabulary Page: Ch. 12 (due tomorrow, 12/7)
• Final Paper (due Friday, 12/15
• We'll also do one-on-one check-ins on your grade and progress in this class, as the quarter is drawing to a close. Remember that the last day to turn in any corrections and/or missing work in Monday, 12/11. After that, I'll be busy grading final projects and papers.

Welcome to December! It's the last month of the year, so let's rally for a strong finish.
